First Baptist Church

The holidays have past and we are back in a fairly normal flow.  All our regular meetings and rehearsals are back on schedule.  We hope you will find a place to plug in and let us share our lives with you!

I also wanted to share with you some special dates on our calendar so you can begin to make plans:

The Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma will be here at the First Baptist Church of Alva, Thursday, March 8th at 7:00 p.m.  We are excited to be hosting one of the small group concerts that night.  It will be a great evening of music and worship.  Make plans now to be with us that night.

The NWOSU Concert Choir will be presenting a spring concert here at the First Baptist Church of Alva, Monday, April 23rd at 7:30 p.m.  The title of the concert will be Americana.  Guest soloist that evening will be a member of the Chicago Metropolitan Opera.

The Oklahoma Baptist Symphony will be presenting a concert here at the First Baptist Church of Alva Sunday, May 6th at 5:00 p.m.  The OBS is comprised of 60-65 players from Baptist churches all over the state who get together monthly to present concerts as well as play at special occasions and events.  This is a first class group of musicians that do a very impressive concert.  Be sure and mark this date on your calendar.
